Two Iconic Brands, Vans and Timberland, Team Up For A Limited Release

1 min read

Two brands that have long history in the fashion and footwear industry, Vans and Timberland, have teamed up to release a limited collection just in time for the 30th anniversary of Vans’ iconic “Half Cab” shoe, which debuted in 1992. The inspiration from Timberland’s half of the design concept will be coming from its “Euro Hiker” boot, which hit the market in 1988.

The collaboration will result in a bold new hybrid silhouette that blends a skate shoe with a hiking boot, called the Vans Skateboarding x Timberland Half Cab Hiker. The shoe will be fabricated using canvas, Timberland’s premium leather, and a ReBOTLâ„¢ lining made from at least 50 percent recycled plastic. It will also feature padded leather collars, rubber lug outsoles, and bear the marks from both brans. The capsule collection will be released in two colorways: Wheat and Chocolate/Olive and will be available for purchase on December 20th at select Vans and Timberland retail stores. For those unable to make the trip in person, both companies will have limited quantities for sale one each of their websites.
